On an energetic level, I’ve noticed that many people try to pull others into their "script"—their own version of reality. If they don’t ask about your perspective or let you inhabit your own natural space, it can lead you to question whether your version or theirs is “real.” In essence, you start getting drawn into someone else’s narrative, loaded with their beliefs, agendas, and patterns that might have nothing to do with your path.
There’s a crucial difference between being invited into someone’s reality versus being pulled or even pressured in. An invitation respects your agency; it allows you to observe their story while holding space for your own. But when someone bypasses your thoughts, values, and boundaries, it’s easy to get pulled into their frame if you haven’t learned to hold your own energetic space.
Sometimes, this pull can be subtle, especially if the other person exerts a powerful energy. Before you know it, you’re no longer the protagonist of your own life but a supporting character in theirs—or worse, a background player. Over time, this can drain your creativity, your dreams, and your sense of direction as you give energy to someone else’s script instead of your own.
When someone or something doesnt feel good, or when someones character is based on intimidation and polarization and you start to give that person your energy, you can be sure that you’re being played for your energy.
To stay aligned, it helps to ask yourself questions that bring you back to your own intentions: What feels right for me? What kind of reality do I want to experience? What thoughts and ideas are truly mine, and which are borrowed or influenced? Do I feel energized in this space, or do I leave feeling depleted? By tuning in and grounding yourself, you can create a script with clear intentions that resonate with your own truth.
In the broader context, our world is filled with polarizing scripts—good versus bad, light versus dark—that can draw us in without our even realizing it. But there’s a new narrative forming, one rooted in unity and heart-centered awareness. When we lean into this, we find the strength to step out of external narratives designed to control or divide and move into our own stories, where we create from a place of balance and harmony.
For me, and I think for most of us, the choice is clear: I’d rather be the hero in my own story, building a life aligned with my mind and heart, than waste energy in someone else’s.
Are you creating your reality, or is an external one shaping you?
